Hi there, I'm Alex! Back when I was a student, a teacher of mine used to scribble on the board: "Learn without learning!" It completely flipped my perspective on education. I followed in those footsteps and became an English tutor myself — until I thought, why not turn the tables? "Teach without teaching!" I've spent the last 15 years "not teaching" and having a blast instead. The truth is, if you're actually having fun in class, there's always going to be a room full of smiling faces waiting for you.
Sure, I've slogged through all the textbooks we love to hate, but it didn't take long to realize you don't need to be a disciple of Spotlight or English File. Instead, I build my own unique ESL plans filled with original topics and a healthy spoonful of weirdness and quirks! Love it or hate it, that's my style.
My goal is to help you break out of that rigid tutor routine and inspire you to create your own worlds. Our profession offers unmatched freedom and the chance to build genuine bonds with our students — no, wait, I call them "friends!"
